I just upgraded to Windows 10 this morning and now Age of Empires - The Conquerors won't run anymore. It ran fine yesterday under Windows 8.1.Now when I try to run it, the cd makes noise for a second or two and then nothing. No message, no explanation.I've tried running it as Administrator and in the various Compatibility Modes (Windows XP SP3 and Windows 8) with no luck.I tried using the troubleshooter and after trying all of that, it merely responds that the program is incompatible.Any thoughts? You cannot disable MS's DRM Blocking malware that preventsdisk based games from launching on Win10.- Note that MS has spread this malware to unsuspecting Win7/8/8.1 users via Window update - KB3086255as well ( It can be circumvented on Win7/8/8.1 though.

Bow to the extortion and buy the game again from a download site (wait for a sale andyou may get it for $10- USD. This is the high def edition, so may be worth the money? )- It may also be available at the Windows Store, which is exactly where MS is hoping you will go.I expect that's why they built the store into Win10 and made it impossible to remove, isn't it?
